I was recently alerted to the fact that an appearance with my old band After Alice on Star Search had surfaced on You Tube. I hadn't thought much about it until I was asked to audition for "America's Got Talent". So many memories flooded back. There was all sorts of drama occurring within the band that took away some of the joy for me at the time so I never sought out the video. Time changes everything and I can now look at our performance and enjoy it for what it is. Musically, our band worked very hard. We rehearsed and played endless free gigs just to be heard. We did alot of laughing along with the crying and that's what a young band with dreams of making if BIG does. Drama is just part of the package. My son Eli reacted to it and told me I looked the same now. I know that isn't true, but it doesn't hurt to hear. That appearance really was an affirmation of our dreams and I'm glad it's finally out there. BTW...we were on the show the following year. I'd love to see that video!
