Here are some things you may not know about me...
- When I was 18 years old I was a Butlins RED COAT in Dover England... Think (Green Coat) from the movie Tommy.. I partied with a bagpipe player who looked like Sean Connery and called Bingo along with singing big hits nightly like When the Saints go marching in with a Big Band.
- I traveled on the PRO women's tennis tour as a coach for top US player Nicole Arendt
- I was in a band in the 80's and 90's that opened for Melissa Etheridge, Jon Bon Jovi, John Eddie, Mink DeVille, Gary US Bonds, inadvertently Bruce Springsteen (ask me), Todd Rundgren, and many more...just can't remember them all
- I keep a signed photograph of George Martin on my studio desk
- I often fall in love and write about people that fly really close and into the flame. ie. Nikola Tesla, Peter Sellers, Amy Winehouse, Edie Sedgwick, Keith Moon to name a few...
MY MUSIC BIO.....
Alice Leon is an expressive and talented singer/songwriter who has enjoyed a regional following in the northeastern part of the United States. The New York resident is a multi instrumentalist and has led several bands and has opened for and shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen, John BonJovi, Melissa Etheridge, John Eddie and many more. She has favored a very melodic, tuneful, and hooky approach to acoustic pop/rock and adult alternative.
Alice's work has been consistently accessible, and her direct or indirect influences have ranged from Peggy Lee, The Beatles, Carole King, Sting to Queen.
She is currently working on her 6th CD and many of her songs can be heard on network TV, commercials and internet radio across the globe.

My family, music, friends and traveling adventures are some of the elements that define me.
Let's see... in the past decade I've recorded 5 of my own CD's with my great friends in the Alice Project band and written 100's of songs via my workshops and songwriting business. I've traveled around the world and am hoping to do loads more with my son and husband. I've got a bucket list and I'm chipping away at it. Hang gliding , zip lining , doing yoga, meditation, ongoing charity work are checked off and I'm looking forward to lots of new adventures. I've built a new business as a teaching artist and am finding that it is a perfect fit for my life as a creator, coach, mentor and cheerleader. While I'm not playing as many live shows as I have in years past, I'm truly enjoying my time as a writer and my best job of all....being my son's mom.
